After the Brooklyn debacle, nice to see the team yet again hold an opponent under 90 points…they’ve done that in all four home games, which (no surprise) have all been wins.
Big night for Stanley Johnson. First time he’s looked like himself so far this season. 12 points on 5-7 from the floor, hit a three, attacked the basket some…just looked like the aggressive guy he was as a rookie.
Andre screwed around and posted a 19/20 night with 3 blocks. Went 7-11 at the line as well. I think the talk around his new approach is real. Even when he’s missed in other games, the release and the touch he has on his attempts looks consistently better to me.
Leuer was great with 15 off the bench and they won while getting relatively little from Morris and Harris (15 and 9), who have carried the offense up until this point.
Good win and one they needed as they head out west for a four game trip. If they could even go 2-2, that would be tremendous, considering the Clips and Spurs are two of these games and then they get Denver as the second of a back to back (the night after San Antonio).
